On the 29th of September, Sebastian won 1st Prize in the Scandinavian/Baltic singing competition 'Voice of the Sea' (Havets Röst / Meren ääni). The prize sum consists of 6000 EURO and was generously donated by Anders Wiklöf.

Sebastian Durán, along with acclaimed pianist Magnus Svensson, returns to the Golden Foyer at the Royal Swedish Opera, where they will give their recital titled "The Greatest Feelings" ("De största känslorna").

During the spring of 2019, Sebastian will perform the role of Hans in the opera Komedi på en bro (Comedy on the Bridge) by the Czech composer Bohuslav Martinů at Operaverkstan.

Sebastian will return to the role as Kråkan (The Crow), in Benjamin Staern's family opera Snödrottningen (the Snow Queen) at Malmö Opera during the winter of 18/19.

In June 2018, Sebastian will perform together with the Malmö Academic Choir and Orchestra on their summer tour, with concerts in Malmö and Svedala in Sweden (6th & 7th of June), and in Lviv, Kiev, Khmelnytskyi, and Chernivtsi in Ukraine (17th - 24th of June) under the baton of MACO's Director Musices, Daniel Hansson.
